I LOVE this book so much! Just right on time to make an amazing recommendation for christmas gift idea. When I did the research for my reading goal of #womenpioneers reading list. I wanted to read about women in sport and I found this book at the bottom of the internet. Turned out it was a gem!
Game Changers, The Unsung Heroines of Sports History by Molly Schiot, is a remarkable collection of female athletes in all sports. It tells tales of great characters, a slice of history, women’s rights activism in sports and perseverance of a great many female athletes in history. There are familiar names like Althea Gibson, Billie Jean King, Ann Koger, Babe Didrikson Zaharias and many more. I am in awe to learn so much of the important female athletes in history and couldn’t stop asking the question about why I never heard of these heroines often enough? Each of the stories is so inspiring, the content is deeply engaging, combine with stunning shots of women in sports in action. A perfect book on my coffee table to inspire great conversations. Also a perfect gift in all occasion
